Валютные замены и финансовые эксперименты
Monetary units from third countries will not serve as a full replacement for the dollar and euro when traveling abroad; Chinese yuan or dirhams are hardly in demand among Russians due to their low liquidity, stated Anna Gondusova, the head of client relations at Alfa-Capital, to RIA News.
"Acquiring them is difficult, there is nowhere to spend them, and storing savings in them does not seem rational as their exchange rates are quite volatile, and their liquidity levels are still small," she explained.
According to her, there is no need to look for substitutes for the dollar and euro when traveling abroad: American and European currencies can be easily purchased in Russian banks, and abroad, they can be exchanged for local currency everywhere.
At the same time, in Gondusova's opinion, regional currencies can be used in cashless financial experiments, such as playing on the currency exchange market. Currency pairs with the yuan, tenge, or dirham can be quite profitable, especially in short time frames, she noted.
